How do I FTP using Internet Explorer?
Solution
Files can be uploaded from your computer to your web space by using an FTP program such as WS-FTP or WISE-FTP. However you can also use Internet Explorer.
Information needed are:
Your Hostname (your domain name)
Your FTP User name
Your FTP Password
Passive FTP should be used.
1.
Open Internet Explorer.
2.
Choose
Internet Options
from the Tools menu.
3.
Click the
Advanced
tab.
4.
Check
Use Passive FTP
(for firewall and DSL modem compatibility)
5.
Click
OK
.
1. Open Microsoft Internet Explorer.
2. In the Address Bar type
ftp://yourdomainname.com
3. Type in the user name and password when prompted.
This will give you full access to your web space to upload files from any computer that is connected to the Internet.
